What is your greatest achievement in your career?
"Getting chartered and building a foundation of delivering incredible projects that made a positive difference to communities by reducing their risk of flooding. This allowed me the freedom to grow in other ways as a Cbeebies presenter on Get Set Galactic, as a supervising civil engineer supporting the development of graduates, as a coach and tech start up founder. "
Who or what inspires you in your work?
“I inspire me, the child I once was, that wants to make a positive difference to the world because I exist and the future me who is waiting to be developed and discovered through my learning and experiences.”
Please provide one piece of advice for future global ethnic-majority engineers.
“Believe that you can do anything you want. And then prove it to YOURSELF by letting your every action reflect your values and goals. From that you have a foundation of self-trust, competence and I urge you to use this to carve out your unique path contributing to the world in the way that allows for your gifts to thrive and to have a great time along the way. ”
