What is your greatest achievement in your career?

"My greatest achievement in my career is my involvement with NASA's Artemis Mission, specifically designing radiation-hardened PCBs for the Lunar Space Station known as NASA’s Gateway. This project not only advanced space technology but also contributed to humanity's return to the moon, marking a significant milestone in space exploration. My work on the OpenVent project is also something I’m very proud of, where I led the electronics team to develop a low-cost, open-source COVID-19 ventilator, had a direct and positive impact on global health during the pandemic."

Who or what inspires you in your work?

“I am inspired by the resilience and ingenuity of marginalized communities, especially refugees and LGBTQ+ individuals. My own journey as a refugee and my commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ people in Egypt through the Shrouk El-Attar Trust drive me to create inclusive and innovative solutions in the tech industry. ”
